working on ...

(7.5x11)

(7.5x11)
From class Monday afternoon. I joined the class already in progress and didn't know what they'd be working on; turned out to be white buildings, so I pulled out a few photos ... A little apprehensive and overambitious, but it was a good three hours.

These are absolutely wonderful Laura!! Love the colors and the loose feel while keeping all the details. I'm jealous, with school in session I haven't had a lot of time for painting. I'm doing a watercolor class with Grade 5 in early Dec. so maybe I can take some time with my samples.

Wow Laura, these are fantastic - you are completely capable of high ambitions in watercolour! As Gail says, the loose feel while describing the buildings so well - is masterly.

They really are beautiful! I particularly like the first one with the snowy shrubs, too. Excellent job!

The top one speaks to me. I love how you show the snow and how cold it is ... yet it feels like a warm painting. Wonderful!

Wow! I love your paintings! They have such an old-fashioned, comfortable feel to them. The colours are beautiful.

Oh, you did a wonderful job on these buildings! They look like so much work, but what a result. Wow.
