Two unfinished watercolor pencil drawings from yesterday when we were at the dock waiting for the storms to pass.
They finally seemed to and we headed out, but were soon running back in when we heard thunder and it started to rain. We tied up at the first dock we came to and took shelter on land against a couple of drydocked boats.
When it stopped raining, we sought more amiable shelter: the bar at the Wharf.

I love the colors in the posts and the dream like shore. You are so fortunate to live near the water. I love your dune watercolors, you must do them plein air? With the gorilla(?) watercolor easel and box? I 'm off to Lake Michigan in a few days where I hope to give plein air a try. Maybe some dunes ala Laura.
Oh I do, I do, I do like water color pencil. These are beautiful.
The sky in that first photo! Sitting inside looking out at that, with a drink or food, sounds perfect right now.
Love that you ended up in a nice place and posted it. You have great range with the watercolor pencils.
Sounds like a typical summer day--but you captured it to remember so beautifully forever. Love those!!!
I always carry pencils or a small watercolor travel kit, but rarely take it out and use it! I'm trying to allow myself to just do what I can, where I can ... even if people are watching!
