Hi Barbara. Thanks for pointing out my "jargon"!
When you paint a wash, with a good amount of water, on a tilted board, the excess water gathers at the bottom of the brushstroke; in each succeeding stroke, you bring the bead down the page-- it prevents hard lines and streaks in your wash. At the bottom of the page, remove the excess water to prevent blooms.🙂
