Another design element from Marianne Brown's Watercolor by Design. I'm not quite sure this fits the bill, but I've been wanting to try painting this orchid before the blooms disappear.
I'm working my way through Brown's book; earlier elements were pyramid, vertical, and horizontal.

Beautiful! I also want to thank you for the lovely wc I received this week. I can't wait to frame it and hang it! I am so behind on this project but I'll get there!
It's exquisite.
It is just beautiful!!!!
Beautiful beautiful. I am hoping to do some related to orchids and marmalade soon, because of a post I saw at a peron's blog as she was making marmalade and ...anyway, this is gorgeous.
I have exactly the same kind, and colour, of orchid in my kitchen! - you've done a lovely job of portraying it, so light and loose and delicate.
This works wonderfully and the colors are gorgeous. (BTW, I've posted your paintings! Stop by...)
Beautiful, Laura.
gorgeous colours :D
Exquisite and really works well tying the warm top of the painting to the cool below. Just beautiful.
Lovely! Very pleasing colors and design. I'm intimidated by orchids - both the growing and the painting of them. You've captured the grace of the plant and flowers beautifully.
This is really beautiful, Laura! The variations in the colors are really well done.
This is flat out gorgeous, Laura!
