Hi Laura,
These are lovely. You are a super painter.
Take care,
Barbara
What a wonderful setting you chose! So much more interesting than the bricks in the original picture.
great application of the subject forDSFDF
Trust you to bring the sea into it :)! Lovely interpretation - I missed this one again - made a sketch but that's as far as I got
Hi Laura, I am just loving all of your portraits and figure drawing. YOu always make painting look so effortless.
you have painted peace Laura and looking at them brings peace to me
I've been temped by that series of prompts, and even downloaded the source photo. But bum that I am, i didn't do it. I think it's brilliant to simply make two men, repetition and variation. How'd you deviate your septum? Owww!
I love that you gave the guy a buddy and a more pleasant atmosphere in which to dwell. It's a lovely painting, and I wish I was fishing with them.
Laura: I've left you a little "Stroke of the Brush" blog award; this is a mention of your blog as a favorite blog of mine to visit. If you want to participate and pass this along, make a blog post featuring 7 things about you and 7 blogs that you enjoy vistiting. Of course, no obligation. Mostly I'm just saying that I enjoy your work and your blog. Thanks! Steve at StevePenberthy.com
