Vegetable bin still life #2.
I keep trying to define the green pepper more--some people never learn!--but in my indecisiveness let it get too wet.
I'm hoping these pepppers will hold up for a couple more days: painting them day after day should, in theory, lead to ... something.

Hi Laura,
The painting is delicious, as was the last one. Here's your mantra "I am
a great watercolour painter." Repeat this 10 times every two hours, and realize that it's true.
Take care,
Barbara
Ah, your paintings make me hungry... Don't worry about the produce, paint it, eat it, buy some more. I love these studies, they are so fresh, like their subject.
Laura, I just marvel that you can tackle the exact same subject and keep it so fresh each time. I love the ooziness of that green pepper! These are beautiful.
P.S. I second Barbara's comment, and add to the recipe: "Omit even a GRAIN of salt!"
I agree with everyone here! VERY beautiful ... and good for you for painting it over and over.... I'm sure you learn as you go.
Learning with practice is the only way and you are doing so well with it. Your colours are fresh, your style is beautiful. Like it.
hard to beat some fruits, veggies, and a nice watercolor wash...thanks for the idea...I'm off to find some pears.
