Beautiful, but I would like to see the water less grey, too, to reflect a bright, sunny, warm day with sparkles on the water. But saying that, it’s a goo painting!!
This advanced beginner watercolorist wouldn't have noticed the grey without you pointing it out; I love it and think you're quite talented...but then again I'm a fan of Payne's Grey:)
Hi Elisa. Thank you! I like Payne's gray, and all interesting grays! I guess, for me, the problem isnt the grayness as much as it is the flatness of the gray: I went over it too many times trying to get it "right"! Thank you for helping me claify that!
Thank you, Rhonda. I think we are on the same wavelength when it comes to critique! Lost the sparkle! A good opportunity perhaps ( nothing to lose) to try picking out some lights with a razor ...

I love these. Grey water is real -- so why not? I think you handled it beautifully.
