I painted this years ago when I was painting with a still life group. They were an ambitious group, and with them I painted bigger--this is a full sheet!--and more complex still lifes than I ever had, or ever have since!
I feel this needs something to be finished.
I might continue the patterned fabric, but maybe more loosely, on the left side. A light wash on the right?
What do you think?

Wow Laura, this is really an ambitious piece. I love it the way it is, but it's finished when you think it is...
Well, just my opinion but I think there is a freshness and crispness about it now that would not be there if you added more fabric or color to either side. Right now it reads as a draped piece behind the items and there are some great things going on there. But again, just my opinion and others may think differently. I am amazed at this as a full sheet - wow!!!
Ohmygosh, I love this just the way it is. I agree with the others - it's finished! Just beautiful. Of course we're only seeing a very tiny version so it may look different in a larger picture. Maybe the tiny photo doesn't show us something that you're seeing in looking at it. But from where I am, it looks complete and glorious. It's time for a frame!
