bluejay

(3x4)
Day Two.
A small study ... trying to not fret or overwork. I have "Don't Correct" written across the top of my drawing board but too often I get carried away and start automatically "fixing."

And a couple of photos I took in the yard today.
We got about eight inches of snow overnight--beautiful dry icy snow blown into drifts.

Lovely painting of the bold bright blue jay :) And great photos to use for other paintings - love them!

Brrr making me shiver! This is an excellent study, and some lovely photos of the snow. More inspiration perhaps.

Wonderful photos and the painting is so charming. I like your idea of putting "Don't correct" on the top of the board.

The colors that you combine are so beautiful, and I noticed how you bring colors from the bird into the background. Each of your backgrounds are different, too, because they each compliment their bird. This is a really great series!

Cute little birdpaintings. I especially like the top one! The photo of the bottom beautyful red-tailed bird; what kind of bird is that? I think he looks adorable!!
