Oyster shells and a mussel shell. I drew these loosely with a brush ... Hadn't planned: the shells and the paints were just there.

Never have thought about painting mussel shells before but they're actually interesting: more color than I at first thought-- blue, some underlying brown, a lovely silvery black-- and very pretty, delicate striations.
