"Painting is an island whose shores I have skirted." --Chardin
Have been wanting for some time to do a series of sparrows. Started with chipping and white-throated, two I often see in my yard.
It is so good that you are back again, you treat us on the most beautifull drawings.I really love your sparrowsWith warm wishes. Manon
Thank you, what a lovely comment!
those are both really nice :) great job with the feathers
It's so nice to see your work again Laura. The sparrows and flowers are lovely! I'm waiting for my peony buds to burst into beauty soon, too.
Thank you. I'm trying to find a balance between delineating the feathers convincingly and letting the paint flow...
Hi Sharon! Thank you. So far I've only got one peony (my 4 year old plants don't produce much!) and it was pretty beaten up by the rain.
Love these. One of the great pleasures of warmer weather is sitting outside listening to the birds. I love how you paint them.XOXOXOXOXO Barbara
