Hello--anyone still out there?
It's been ridiculously long since I've done any painting. When my mother fractured her ankle, I didn't have time; when she started having therapy and was able to do more on her own, I had time, but not the inclination; when I started to miss painting (and the blogging community), I had the inclination but not ... what? I've asked myself that, but there's no ready answer: the mindframe, "inspiration," confidence?
Whatever the answer, I've decided to stop contemplating the reasons for not and instead do.
So, here's a rebeginning.
My friend Carol took this photo in, I think, New Hampshire: the red and green color scheme appealed to me.

It's absolutely GREAT to have you back with a brush in your hand. Missed you. Hope all's well now with your mom and family, too.

A wonderful serene little scene, love the pink house. Glad you are back, love to see your paintings.
I'm glad you found the confidence, or whatever it was, you were missing. Shicat and I were just commenting that we missed you.
Beautiful.
I totally empathize with what you went through. Had a similar experience over the summer. It's so great to have you back blogging and to see you have not lost your touch. Nice use of complements.

It's great to see you're back! We've missed your beautiful spontaneous style and wonderful colours -- I love the reds and greens you've selected (or created) for this rebeginning.
Amazing! Just yesterday, I was planning on emailing you to check in and wish you a happy holiday season. How great to see this beautiful new entry. Glad you're back!

Oh, goody! I'm so glad you're back. Beautiful, Laura, as always. Great to see you posting again.
Glad you are back, Laura. I would stop by periodically but you were still underground. I just happened to stop by today and wow, you have been busy. Great stuff!
Laura, you must read my mind, I'm in the same spot ... really . it's so ridiculous that I can't get into it.. All I've done for a month was the Virtual Paintout.. and lucky that I accomplished that. Probably because your forced to. Hope to see you in there this month.
