Still life in progress

Trying something a little more ambitious; trying to keep these first washes looser and wetter.
I think it needs just a bit more--darks in the daisies and a bit more development of the hydrangeas; some lifting, too, if I can manage it.

I was surprised that the hydrangeas were that dark red/orange - didn't even know they came in that color so was expecting violet or pink or blue. Looking good but I'd crop off that left side a bit where there is just too much violet for the painting, in my mind. (Sorry, you didn't ask for my opinion, I know, but at my age, I just give it freely! ha ha)

Good eye, Rhonda! I made the hydrangeas--these were dried in the fall, and turned a red-tinged tan--too dark.
Now that you mention it, that is a lot of violet!
