seven mile bridge

(5x7)

I found this drawing I made while Peter and I were fishing alongside the Seven Mile Bridge in Marathon, Fla., in December 2007 still attached to the block and thought it was about time I took a stab at painting it. I feel there's a lot more I could do here, but I'm going to resist that impulse and just do a bit of tweaking ... tomorrow.

I like this very much. Especially the shadows under the middle pier and the underside of the close underside of the bridge. Great buttery sunlight color.

Love those billowing clouds and rushing water against the static shapes of the bridge. What a good idea to stop overnight before tweaking - I thnk it's lovely as is.

Laura,
I am a little confused as the paper is clearly wet and you said you found it form 2007 still attached to the block!....or maybe I have misunderstood and you have just started working on it again! Either way it is a lovely painting…very evocative of the seven-mile bridge and the Florida Keys. I know that bridge well (lol). I love the pale colours and shadows.

L,

Very nice as is, but let us see any changes that you make.

Oh, lovely, Laura! And there you go with your filmy, beautiful blues again. You're the master with those!
