My kitchen window ... thinking about a painting. Maybe.
Found a little branch of dried up oak leaves in the yard on Thanksgiving. Did a pen drawing just to observe the shapes ... But I think the "feel" of them would probably be best captured in sumi-style painting. Something I'd like to try ...
That sounds good...the drawing is lovely, the flowing composition draws the eye around and such beautiful negative shapes too.
ReplyDeleteBoth of these drawings are inspirational for paintings. Hope you will share if you choose to paint them. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteWOW! You did a great job on the top drawing and I’d love to see this as a painting - also the oak branch is great because it has a lightness and energy to it (I agree, a sumi painting with a few brushstrokes of ink would really bring this to life, too).
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lisa, Debbie, and Rhonda!
ReplyDeleteThose blinds look like a challenge. Go for it. The drawing is spot on.
ReplyDeletenow that I've drawn it, it's hard to think how to paint it 😛
Deleteeither sketch would make a nice painting, lots of different shapes and textures to paint
