"milk"

(11x15)
I like this jug, the lettering, which is not so long or complicated as to be a chore, and the little jughandles.
I regret that dark, flat shadow in the bottom one. Tried lifting, but no luck. Maybe I'll darken the background (the background: another cause for regret!) behind it, couldn't hurt.

  1. I am so enjoying your entry into spring, Laura. You are reveling in the yellows and brights and flowers and everything! I like all of these but the top one is my favorite - although that addition of the bulb sprouting in the second was a great choice.

Glad to see you back in the blogosphere. It is a nice jug and as usual a great watercolor. Love the daffodils.

I like them all and the flat shadow on the bottom one just looks like the bottom of the jug flairs out. And I adore your daffodils.

  7. About your problem lifting the shadow:you could use sandpaper instead to get some white if you want. I have done that on some of my paintings with good result. Like your paintings by the way!

  10. Love the milk jug with the lemons... was just admiring those lemons in your earlier post of the same. While it looks perfect to me I can understand how the execution sometimes isn't what you wanted, but trial and error is how we get to that place. Great to see you working at it and sharing all your beautiful trials and errors!
