I am finally--finally!-- beginning to get how to paint glass without painting it: it's what you put behind it ... and how you light it. The more discrete shapes you can discern to paint, the better.
I photographed this setup at least a dozen times before I settled on this view.
You painted that perfectly! Looking for more paintings with glass in them now :).
