(11x15)
A small selection from the insane amount of objects I've accumulated to use in projected still lifes.I painted the two on the left first, and did the one on the far right the next day, today. I had to go back and drop a little yellow into the other two ... And I should soften the shadow edges.
I was trying to let the running of the colors suggest the soft shininess of the ceramic glaze.
These a gorgeous, Laura. Wonderful rich juicy colours in these pots. Love them.
ReplyDeletethese are super laura !
ReplyDeleteYou certainly captured the shine of pots glaze, lovely piece
ReplyDeleteYou did a beautiful job on the ceramic, I love the shadows too! The perfume bottles are gorgeous! I love the way you are grouping like items together.
ReplyDeleteYou are a master at using color effectively, Laura. Truly, your beautiful shadows and the highlights in your subjects are so perfectly placed. I find myself studying your work and trying to figure out how and why you used a particular color here or there. You could give a seminar about that, I'd be the first to sign up!
ReplyDeleteSo wonderful. I love the work and your descriptions of what you were doing.
ReplyDeleteXOXOXO Barbara
You got the mass of these - the weight - plus the shiny ceramic look! You are painting some everyday things that really are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteNice job!! :)
