Another subject I'd like explore more: birds, And especially "lbb"--little brown birds, which are so numerous around my feeders. And because there is so much to learn about browns and grays.

Struggling to get back into painting regularly, I thought a few of these scenes, which have perennial appeal to me, would be a good jumping off place.
They remind too of my perennial resolution: to learn to paint trees!

Painted with my friend Mike, who suggested we paint our painting supplies ... a ready-to-hand and appealing subject. I've seen so many lovely paintings of jars of brushes or tubes of paint, but never tried one before.
