(7x10)
Didn't have time to paint yesterday (though I did get a coat of primer on the dining room!), but in the evening I looked at my vase of nearly-dead irises and made this quick study.
I see though that last night's rain has perked up the irises in the yard, so I may have another chance.
Great jobs!
ReplyDeleteLove how the colors flow in these flowers and in yesterday's post. I think you got lovely colors from the triad.

Both of these iris paintings are beautiful, Laura...the flowing colors and loose brushwork are yummy.
ReplyDeleteWow! Now that's loose. That's letting the paint do its thing.
ReplyDeleteSuper!
Take care,
Barbara
Such a gorgeous profusion of colors!!
ReplyDeleteI love how loose these are, Laura! Looking at these, one would never know your irises are on their last legs--they look beautiful here! I like your expressive treatment of them here.
ReplyDeleteGood job on the "other" painting, too!
As always, I love your colour combination here. Nearly dead they may be, but your painting certainly isn't.
ReplyDeleteLaura, your brush is dancing and your colors are singing!
ReplyDeletei love how loose your irises are. i thought i was painting a loose iris. wow, compared to your wonderful posts here, mine are tight!
ReplyDeletethis is just beautiful.
