Thank to everyone for the comments on my post about Nanda. Your thoughtfulness and kindness are very touching, and I appreciate it.
A busy weekend--dinner with my brother John for his birthday Saturday, Peter's brother's son's christening Sunday--now back home, where I expect to see Nanda in her favorite spots: in the patch of sun on the deck, curled up in a ball on the loveseat in the loft, and, of course, next to her food bowl. I think Smilla misses her; she seems to want more attention than usual--or maybe she's thinking that about me!Thank to everyone for the comments on my post about Nanda. Your thoughtfulness and kindness are very touching, and I appreciate it.
I'll miss her, but she had a good life and a good death too--not too soon, not too late.
Very pretty! I'm painting flowers today, too...
ReplyDeleteNice job on these flowers. I'll bet you are proud of this painting.

ReplyDeleteSo sad Laura, about Nanda. It's good that you feel the timing was all right for this milestone. That's a blessing.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about Nanda. So hard to know when to make the decision. I have had to make the decision when my dog's minds were still very sharp and functioning and that seemed so bad but their bodies had given up. I love the photo of her.
ReplyDeleteI was very sorry to read about you cat :(
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that Smilla misses her and knows you need more attention.
Lovely fresh flowers. When we had Sophie put down two years ago I expected to see her every day, especially when I came in the door. As much as I loved that darned cat, our "new" pound rescue, Bucky is a lover too.
ReplyDeleteI think you'll be seeing her for a while, Laura. It's only natural, and a comfort in a way. Your painting is beautiful, as always.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty bunch of flowers, Laura. My sympathy, also ,on having to say goodbye to your old friend. They help make us who we are! Best wishes.
ReplyDeleteThese are stunning. You've painted such rich, bright colours in such a gentle way. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThoughts with you about Nanda. I've been there. She'll always be with you.
