A couple of in-progress little paintings that I embarked on to give as gifts, but as often happens when
I try too hard, I'm not happy with the way these are turning out. I may consider these practice and start over, hoping to not make the same mistakes twice!
Sorry, but I haven't seen anything that you've done that doesn't look top class!
ReplyDeleteIn the top one your color is luminoius. I wish I could do that! But your primary medium is wc.....Lovely!
ReplyDeleteDon't start over keep going ,looks great, love the colors.
ReplyDeleteI see you've been baking, too! The composition and colors in the first painting is wonderful.I hope you have a good holiday Laura, spent with people you love. I've also enjoyed our virtual "chats" the past few months.
ReplyDeleteI like that deep yellow rose! And the eggshells have your lovely glowing loose style - I would say keep going too! It's been so good to 'meet' you and see all your lovely watercolours this last year - best wishes for a Happy Christmas.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the encouraging comments--I will keep working on the eggshells. Eggs really are one of the hardest things to paint--so easy to overdo it.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a great year in the blogosphere; I've learned so much and seen so many and such various artworks--and, best of all, met so many wonderful people!
Merry Christmas Laura. Stay safe and warm.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with the other comments... I think they're lovely! Gorgeous glowing color! Have a Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI think these are wonderful!!! I LOVE the eggshells.... they look so fragile.
ReplyDeleteLaura I have a question???? Do you know how to unflag your blog so that your paintings show?
ReplyDeleteLaura thanks for your support. The blog problem resolved itself. thanks again. Your the best.
ReplyDeleteFrom here on my monitor they look beautiful. I especially like the top one.
ReplyDeleteThese are both amazing Laura... the luscious color of the bottom one and the quiet simplicity.. I would never ask for more!!!
