I decided to finish this cardinal painting with a suggestion of distant trees and a sprinkling of snow. I love painting cardinals--so easy to draw and such a great red!
I love cardinals too! I love to see the flash of red zip through the live oaks here - and their funny little blip-blip-blip call. They are perfect for a Christmas theme! Your w/c is so pretty.
He is gorgeous!

I love how calm and subtle your background is. A perfect neutral support for the "pop" of the red cardinal...wonderful
ReplyDeleteThere you go again! You have such a nice way of composing the picture and combining colors. I never tire of cardinals...
ReplyDeleteLovely! This would make a perfect Christmas card. I liked this before, but the addition of snow flakes makes it even more wintery.
ReplyDeletethis cardinal rocks!
