drawing day

I'm trying to make my drawing-day drawings into a slideshow; can't make it work, yet. All the drawings were done without benefit of sleep! My OTC allergy medicine kept me up all night: it's 6 p.m. now and I think I'm ready to crash!
(If you click on this post's title, you'll go to my Picasa album showing the drawings.)
Spoiler alert: this is the best one.
After I get some sleep, I'd like to try painting this white rhododendron from my mother's yard.
Good night!

  1. Sorry - i've been self absorbed of late and missed commenting on your strawberries. They are sooo nice. I don't know why your work has taken off to a new level, but keep it up! The Brandywine work brings back fond memories. I got my MFA at the U of Deleware. K and I have great memories of canoeing on the Brandywine. This latest drawing is great. I've always had this belief that the ability to draw is the basis of all other art forms. Best, BIll

  2. No need to apologize, Bill: there's more to life than blogging! But thanks for your comments. The Brandywine is beautiful; I'll be in Delaware, near the U's oceanographic school, painting. Hope this heat wave's over by then!

  5. Ruth is right, I do love the drawings of the eggs! You are so good at capturing essence!

Did you end up cooking them?

  6. Yes there is more to life than blogging - but don't drop off the grid without warning. 911 calls may follow if one of my favorite watercolorists is down for too long. Best Bill
