knopf's poem a day

I subscribe to publisher Alfred A. Knopf's Poem-a-Day email and I enjoy it so much, I thought I'd tell you about it! To subscribe, send a blank email to: sub_knopfpoetry@info.randomhouse.com.
I have to run to watercolor class; hope to post the result later, though I am having difficulties with my connectivity at home

  1. Thanks for the poetry tip. Being married to a poet has allowed me to appreciate poetry. My students memorize four or five poems each year: Fog, Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening, etc. I have had students come up to me eight years later and recite them for me! That's cool.

  3. I used to love memorizing poetry--Keats, G.M. Hopkins, Wallace steven, W.C. Williams, Pound, Yeats, Frost; I once, in a dark time, of course, memorized "Dover Beach"! Wish I could remember them now now, but, even with all the clutter in my head, some lines do come back!
Thanks, Melanie; I really love your recent paintings too! They're astounding!
