(10x14)
From the Monday class, more orchids from Marie's photos. Lowe's has some beautiful orchid plants for sale; I'm tempted, but I have never been able to keep one alive! Photos at least are durable!
Still in construction limbo; hope to post--and visit everyone's blogs--more regularly soon!
Beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteHere's a suggestion for titles. What about something like the name of subject plus date. For example, Orchids, March 10, 2008 or Pennsylvania Snowscene, March 4, 2008
At least that way, you have the paintings organized and can refer to them logically. Just an idea!
(Have been tempted to send a pair of earplugs)
laura! wow! I could almost reach and grab these - and you're not even finished. I really love these colors.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you back, Laura, with another beautiful piece. Lovely colors! I'm happy to see you are getting at least some painting time, good luck with the construction :)
ReplyDeleteThank you all for the suggestion/comments. I'm still migrating back and forth (or round and round?) from my parents', to the library (for Internet and do work), to home to pick up this and that, check progress ...
ReplyDeleteSo far have only managed to paint in class ... but tomorrow's another day, right?!
And I want to apologize for not commenting on your blogs regularly lately: I only get 1/2 hour on the Internet at the library; I do look--I need that inspriation!
HI Laura, your color palette is really amazing....you aint flowers very naturally... WOW
ReplyDeleteTHe previous post is great, I love the soft shades on the ground that gives depth......
These orchid paintings are beautiful. Great sensitivity in the way some areas are more refined, while others soften into the white of the paper. It expresses their delicacy so well.
