lilies

                                14x18

Considered adding another stem, but then decided to leave it as is.
I had a teacher, Bonnie Mettler, years ago who'd always say, Does it bother you? If not, don't " fix" it.

Thank you, Mary, I appreciate that! I saw the little bunch at the supermarket and could not resist!

Love the simplicity of this painting! Keep painting (=

By the way, what paper do you use?

Thanks, Rhonda!

Thank you.
This was done on Fabriano Artistico.
I use mostly Fabriano and Arches, but like to try other papers, like Saunders Waterford and Hannemuhle.

I think this is beautiful, you captured the clean shapes and little details, tips and curls of leaves, lovely composition.

Thank you, Millie. That means quite a lot coming from you.
I did try to observe these stalks of lilies closely as I drew them ... Sometime I think I get too impatient!
