birgit o'connor rhodo

Finished, for now. I cannot work on this any longer!
I might darken the stamen shadows, but I already overworked them and the stamens, so maybe it's best not to draw attention to them!

Doesn’t look overworked, Laura. I would drop in some water and then drop in some shadow colors and see what happens. I think the shadows could be a bit darker and then everything would pop. But I know what you mean about not wanting to do more when you already think you’ve overdone it. Will we ever learn to leave it and go? Or is this a lifetime thing? :). Anyway, I love your work and think you have a light touch with watercolors that I always enjoy.

Thank you, Rhonda. I probably should have stopped a day sooner and taken a day to assess ... maybe I'll learn someday!
I will add some darks ..

Thank you, Mary, Annie and Carol! This class has been very helpful. Beginning paintings of my own now, using the class techniques.

Annie, I hope you will post your paintings on blogger! Does your grandson paint with you?
