birgit o'connor class

I signed up to do an online class with Birgit: the one I chose features a beautiful tulip magnolia.
To practice, I did these two exercises from her books.
She paints on 300lb paper, and these are on 140lb, which is all I have, but I may invest in the heavier paper as she does a lot of wetting.
I think the class will be a challenge for me mainly because it's very process-driven, which I most assuredly am not!

Laura, yes I have her book, and the video and oh can she make those giant flowers look amazing!
I paint on 140 lb. paper but I'd love to try 300 lb. I imagine you can use lots, and lots of water.. (which is something my paintings lack) .
Your flower looks great! So glad to see you painting again. Your a natural, or at least your good at making it seem so. LOL !

These are glorious, Laura. I have been enjoying your sand and shore, too. But these are astonishing. So beautiful.

You did a great job on the white flower :). She does make those large flowers glow so maybe more water is the trick (so heavier paper?).
