snowy barns

Painted from photos found on Google Images.
Struggling to get back into painting regularly, I thought a few of these scenes, which have perennial appeal to me, would be a good jumping off place.
They remind too of my perennial resolution: to learn to paint trees!

Everything you've been doing is looking very good - you haven't lost your touch at all but I still miss your posting regularly so hope you can find time to do that - maybe once a week :) Hope your 2014 is amazing!

These are wonderful. If these are what you use for "jumping off" pieces (to get back into the swing), I can only assume that, as awesome as they are to me, they are old hat and easy to you?

I'm always interested in what artists use to keep up or especially to regain their momentum. I expect that means this is the exact time of year to follow everyone's blogs closely.

Your drawings are beautiful, which help to make your paintings fantastic. They look so effortless. I was thinking about you today, actually, and concluded that I need to take more drawing classes. You still inspire!

Your barns are charming and well done. I think your trees are well done, too. I think you've jumped in with both feet and are ready for a great new year!
