easter lily

(7x9)
Every year I buy an Easter lily to paint; it's a challenge, but a pleasurable one, getting lost in those leaves ... I like trumpet-shaped flowers, and love the leaves on the Easter lily, so many spiraling up the stem.

Lovely painting. So hard to paint white flowers on a pale background.

So. After all that talk of apple blossoms, azaleas, and rhodos, what pops up -- a lily. So well done.

Nicely arranged, what with the buds and the shy flower facing the other way.
