playing with food

(5x6)
A little (as-much-as-I-can-manage) unself-conscious playing with paint: shapes, colors ... not overthinking.

Love the blue towel (napkin?m cloth?) with the oranges and yellows. And the schmear of shadow color in top picture.

And the pineapple has just the right amount of detail and beautiful color.

Well this is one time we should go against our mother´s wishes....don´t play with your food,,eat it!...I can still hear her saying this:),,,little did she know that playing with our food was good preparations for a painting....really love the pineapple!

Wow! Awesome pieces all of them. I have to say that is the most gorgeous pineapple I've ever seen!

That pineapple is fabulous, Laura! And love the first one with the great complementary colors. Keep playing with that food!

All three of these are examples of the pure beauty of watercolor! Love them all and so glad you stopped and didn't think they needed more work :) I admire that because it's something I've rarely been able to do - stop and say it's done.

The pineapple is luscious! So beautifully rendered. Love your loose handling of watercolor.

Nice! The lemons are my favorite-great color and negative space.
