more irises

Didn't have time to paint yesterday (though I did get a coat of primer on the dining room!), but in the evening I looked at my vase of nearly-dead irises and made this quick study.
I see though that last night's rain has perked up the irises in the yard, so I may have another chance.

I love how loose these are, Laura! Looking at these, one would never know your irises are on their last legs--they look beautiful here! I like your expressive treatment of them here.

i love how loose your irises are. i thought i was painting a loose iris. wow, compared to your wonderful posts here, mine are tight!
