a haiku:

(8x11)

Little eggplants.
And a little poem, a haiku:

People working fields,
from my deepest heart, I bow.
Now a little nap.

Hi Laura,

Your eggplants are just perfect -- so
rich. The haiku is also ideal for the day. Thanks for both. I think I will take a nap.

Take care,

Barbara

I just bought an eggplant today at the farmer's market, I guess I'll have to paint it before eating it.
Yours are so nicely done! The nap sounds like a good idea, too.

Beautiful Laura, both the haiku and the painting.

The eggplants are great. You nailed the color - a great shade - and a nice loose representation.

Great haiku and a great painting to accompany it. Love the shades of blue and purple, the bits of green at the ends, and the loose handling. I love eggplants too, their shape, color, and shine; you captured them all so well!
