I like seeing your studies... very interesting! You have a nice watercolor technique.
Wow, Laura. Each time I open my reader, there is something new from you. These studies are lovely, I like them both. The darks in the bottom one are wonderful, but I also love the rimlight in the top one.
I enjoyed the flower studies you posted last week a lot too. I think I tense up when I paint flowers, because it's not my usual subject matter. Yours are wonderfully loose and exuberant. I hope you're feeling better.
It's amazing how much detail you are able to capture in such a small space! I think I like the upper one better, only because it feels more spontaneous.
It's so interesting to see your lesson in progress - I love the cloth in the first one, and that zingy bright green lime, though I can see how it needs to be darker for the backlit effect. The vases are beautifully done!
Wow--Laura, these are beautiful! I really love these. You did such a good job of varying the tones and the images are just luminous! Just lovely.
No matter what you paint, I'm always captivated by the jewel tones of your fresh, clean colors. This one is no exception!
I agree with Meneke, I like the light in the first painting. I admire you for always trying different subjects. You are always stretching yourself.
