This looks like quite a different painting - I like that long format, and there's more focus on the warm - or hot! - colours of the flower, and the negative shapes. Hope you keep those blue/green off-cuts for something else, though - a collage?

Hi Bill--it was just a fortuitous thought; I was removing the tape around the edges, and just thought to move it in closer ... I've usually resisted "techniques" (and just blundered my way through), but I like this method and the fractured, or refracted, view it gives.

Its so amazing how the shape change changed this piece. I hope you continue this technique, it shows a lot of promise.
