The danger of dabbing away ... These are supposed to be two hydrangea blossoms, but I kept indiscriminately dabbing on color, not giving enought thought to the overall volume of the two "globes." Too wet now to do anything, so I'll put it aside and look again tomorrow.

I think it's quite lovely, Laura. Love that purple, and the shadows on the vase are wonderful! Did you use iridescent paint or is it shine from the paper being wet?
Also love the landscapes you posted yesterday!

Thanks Mineke and Tracy--you're both too kind! I was feeling rushed and harried yesterday; should have known I wouldn't be happy if I tried to paint ... but I have been trying to keep the paint wet, and a bit of frustration must be good for the soul, right? ;-)
It is just the wet paper, Mineke--I'm so impatient!
